The away side were awarded a corner with ten minutes left to play of the half, which saw Hannah Pearson deliver an inviting cross for Charmaine Benham to head in.
The Tangerines continued to show flashes of brilliance in the final third of the pitch but it was the home side who defended resiliently to ensure the sides headed in level at the break.

Aga Żmudzka was one of the players who remained on the pitch and she proved her worth by sliding in a perfectly weighted pass for Ashley Cheatley to slide in the bottom corner.
The game was stretched in the second half with opportunities available for both teams to take a resounding lead and it was Fulham who scored two goals to put themselves in a position to win the game.
