GLWFL Premier Division Result.....

Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies extended their lead at the top of the Greater London Women's Football League Premier Division on Sunday afternoon with a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Development at the Robert Parker Stadium.

It was a cagey affair in the opening 20 minutes however it was the home side who had looked most likely to open the scoring going close on a number of occasions.

In-form Rebecca French, who has scored to in her last two outings was to strike first, after a slick passing move through the pitch saw French finish well by slotting the ball in the bottom corner.

The Tangerines continued to carve opportunities and managed to extend their lead when Lavana Neufville and Ashley Cheatley combined to finish.

Tottenham came out in the second half in inspiring fashion and reduced the deficit back to one goal latching onto a failed clearance at the back.

Laura Huse added another goal to her impressive tally when she acrobatically diverted in Alissa Down's corner.

The away side grabbed another which came in the way of an own goal to setup a nervy five minutes at the end.

Ashford Ladies held on and sealed another three points to remain top of the GLWFL Premier Division.
