Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies were outclassed by Women's Premier League Side C&K Basildon in a one sided friendly that ended 10-1.
The match was played at the neutral venue; Matthew Arnold School and saw C&K Basildon dominate from the very start.
Ashford's consolation goal came from Ashley Cheatley who's powerful strike flew in the top corner.
The Tangerines won’t be too disheartened as there were many positives to draw from this game. There were many impressive signs from the new faces that played and again Ashford Ladies continued to create goal scoring opportunities even against the strongest of sides.
We wish C&K Basildon all the best for their up coming season.
Next weekend is an away trip to WPL South East Division 1 side, Denham Ladies.
