Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies strolled to a 9-2 victory over Watford Ladies Development on Sunday afternoon, moving the Tangerines closer to being crowned league Champions.

It was an encouraging opening twenty minutes which saw Ashford dominate possession however Watford were the first to create a clear cut opportunity seeing their effort gathered by Gracie Perkis.

Lavana Neufville was the one who opened the scoring after she found herself in behind the Watford's back line.

Phoebe Head, making her step up from the B Team again, was in inspired form and came close on a number of occasions, including an effort that just went wide of the far post.

Neufville added one more to her tally and Alissa Down continued her fine goal scoring form this season after Neufville turned provider picking Down out on the edge of the box.

Watford Development, clawed one back before Neufville reinforced The Tangerines' dominance with a composed finish against the goalkeeper.

The second half began and it took the travelling side just two minutes before finding the net again, with Neufiville recording her hatrick. This was Neufville's third hatrick in as many weeks.

Neufville recorded another before Ashley Cheatley was introduced to the game on the hour mark. It took ten minutes for the clubs highest goalscorer to find her scoring boots again, her first finding it's way in the bottom corner, her second coming in the way of a composed finish and her third being an absolute rocket into the roof of the net.

Down scored the pick of the goals however, with her long range effort drifting over the goalkeepers head, from over twenty yards out. The inform Down also walked away with the PoTM award.

Special mentions to Charlotte Baker, Hannah Pearson, Phoebe Head and the goal craze Neufville for great performances.

This result leaves Ashford needing one win in their remaining two league games to be crowned league champions...
