Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies FC booked a place in the semi finals of the Capital Cup after a 9-0 victory over Brentford Women’s.
The Tangerines welcomed The Bees to the Robert Parker Stadium for the second time in two seasons and were determined to continue their fine start to 2019.
Ashley Cheatley carried on her fine form in front of goal and showed quality throughout to brag another hatrick in a week, for the home side. Lavana Neufville also recorded a hatrick with an energetic performance whilst Holly Isaacs grabbed a brace and Hannah Pearson scored her first in the calendar year.
Mara DeLuca was a new addition to the Ashford Ladies side and went straight into the squad. The Ashford faithful were no doubt pleased with what they saw from the young defender who played with great confidence, coming close on a few occasions to a debut goal.
Elizabeth Kriebel took her chance again in the midfield after graduating from the impressive B Team however it was the former Brentford Women’s defender Nadia Peters, who was the star of the show.
Peters continued to be a thorn in the away teams side and created opportunities which led to goals for The Tangerines.
After victory on Sunday and Abbey Rangers defeating QPR Reserves, it sets up a first meeting against the two sides in the coming weeks for a place in the Capital Cup - Intermediate finals.
